Ordered this for sons’ graduation gift and are both VERY pleased. Is true what others say about ‘low light’ pictures being outstanding along with all other credited attributes. True, the view screen is a ‘bit’ grainy, but who cares over such a minor problem when EVERYTHING else is spectacular for the value? When reviewing pics, they are crystal clear, just like they turn out:) Movies and sound included! All other reviews I’ve read on extended zoom camera packages have at least one or two major problems concerning: either/or movies, sound, pictures, flash, hand-ability, and ease of use. Yeah, Canon!

This camera is so intuitive you only need to read the manual to know a few of the buttons! Macro shots of flowers, which I use frequently, gives true color and great shots! I have not had the opportunity to try the 35x telephoto, but will be able to report after my trip back to South Africa this October. My Canon I used last year also took great photos. I don’t expect this camera to be any different.
Great camera for the money. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a great all round camera. I have not used the movie mode, so cannot comment on that either.

I’ve had this camera for three weeks now and I love it. The zoom is fantastic, it shoots great pictures at high shutter speeds, it is very easy to use but has plenty of settings for the more experienced photographers. The only problem I have with this camera is that pictures at 800 ISO or higher are not good, there’s lots of noise. If portability is not an issue for you, and want to shoot decent HD video and great bright picture then this is the camera for you.
